All political parties must include 10% reservation for Muslims and 05% reservation for other minorit

New Delhi: India is the largest democratic country in the world, which empowers its citizens to solve their problems through elected representatives who represent citizens in the legislative bodies. The Election Manifesto is an important means of communicating the hopes and aspirations of the people to the power representatives. Representing the students and youth of India, the Student Islamic Organization of India (SIO) is getting the opportunity to publish a “Student Manifesto” on this occasion so that all the political parties have the demands and suggestions mentioned in the manifesto. Include in your electoral manifesto and agenda. The demands and proposals mentioned in this manifesto cover three frontiers – education, youth and human rights. Education: This section of the Student Charter strongly condemns the central and state governments for failing to enforce the law, and offers several proposals for improved law enforcement and transparency. The manifesto also calls for a significant increase in the Maulana Azad National Fellowship and the Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship scholarship. Similarly, there has been a demand for termination of the NET condition to benefit from this scheme. As per the recommendations of the Sachar Committee report, the implementation of reservation in educational institutions is also included in the demand. In addition to these demands, the Charter also includes suggestions for improvement of the scholarship scheme and the management of the hygiene of the students. Demands: Rohit Act to be enacted. Aligarh Muslim University’s off-campus centers should be set up in minority-majority districts.

The government focuses more and more on the children deserving special attention. The fields of Arabic and Islamic Studies should be established in all public universities. Begin courses in BA Arabic and BA Islamic Studies in all universities.

Enforcement of the Right to Education Act (2009). The government strongly supports the protection of the minority identity of Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia.

Youth: This section of the Student Charter addresses the problem of unemployment as a key issue for educated youth in the country and proposes a comprehensive entrepreneurship scheme and school development programs before the government. This section also condemns corruption in the filling of government posts and calls for the implementation of a “limited time” and transparent election system. Demands: All government and public sector employment vacancies should be filled up as soon as possible. The selection process for government jobs should be transparent and improved. According to the Ranganath Mishra Commission report, reservation in public service must be made. Human Rights: The Student Charter also raises a number of issues related to human rights abuses and calls for a comprehensive law to end religiously discriminating minorities and other backward classes. The manifesto also calls for the rehabilitation of youths who have been implicated in false terror cases. Demands: The National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam should be run in a clean and transparent manner. Strengthen the institutions that exist to protect human rights. Section 197 of the Indian Penal Court to be abolished. Appropriate laws should be formulated to eliminate discrimination against religious minorities in all fields.

Speaking on the occasion of the issue of the Student Manifesto, National President of the SIO of India, Labid Shafi, said that students and young people are the biggest ‘constituency’ of this democracy and the demands of political parties when they ask for their votes. Special regard must be made. He added that the SIO has presented a student manifesto that calls on political parties to work for the better future of the country. He said that the students and youth of the country cannot be deceived by the slogans and debates that spread communal hatred.
